Tools & Calculators

Plan your squad, calculate OVR, and optimize reroll sessions.

Last updated:

Building a competitive squad in Build A Blue Lock Squad involves math — calculating OVR averages, estimating reroll budgets, and planning which characters to target at each progression stage. This tools hub collects planning utilities and calculators that help you make data-driven decisions instead of guessing.

The LockerRoom’s Roblox gacha squad builder does not include built-in squad planning tools, so community resources and wiki calculators fill the gap. Use these alongside the Tier List, Reroll Strategy, and High OVR Squad Guide for complete optimization.

Squad OVR Calculator

Your squad OVR is the average overall rating across all lineup positions. Use this formula:

Squad OVR = Sum of all player OVRs / Number of players

Example: A 6-player squad with OVRs of 95, 88, 85, 82, 78, 75 averages 83.8 OVR.

When evaluating a reroll pull, calculate the new squad average before accepting:

New OVR = (Current Total OVR - Replaced Player OVR + New Pull OVR) / Number of Players

If the new average is lower, reject the pull and reroll again. If it is 3+ points higher, accept immediately.

This simple calculation prevents the common mistake of accepting a high-OVR pull that actually lowers your squad average because it replaced a stronger player at a different position.

Reroll Budget Planner

Plan how many rerolls you need to reach target OVR milestones:

Current OVRTarget OVREstimated Rerolls Needed
5065~15
6575~20
7582~25
8288~35
8892+~50+

These estimates assume average luck. Elusive pulls at 1% rate can accelerate late-game progression dramatically — see Elusive Characters.

Character Value Evaluator

When deciding keep-or-reroll, score each character on three factors:

OVR Score (0-10) — Rate based on OVR relative to your squad average. Above average = 7+, below = 4 or less.

Tier Score (0-10) — Cross-reference Tier List placement. S-tier = 10, A-tier = 7, B-tier = 4, C-tier = 1.

Position Need (0-10) — Rate how much the position needs upgrading. Weakest position = 10, strongest = 1.

Total Score = OVR + Tier + Position Need. Accept pulls scoring 18+. Reroll pulls scoring below 12.

Refresh Value Calculator

Decide whether to refresh or accept using this framework:

Refresh if:

  • Pool has 2+ characters scoring 15+ on the value evaluator
  • No single character is a clear best pick
  • You have 3+ refresh tokens available

Accept if:

  • Any character scores 20+ on the value evaluator
  • Pool contains a Legendary or Elusive
  • Refresh tokens are limited (save them for better pools)

Full refresh strategy in Reroll Strategy.

Squad Composition Planner

Plan your target squad before spending rerolls:

Stage 1 target (70 OVR): 6 Epics averaging 70+ OVR Stage 2 target (82 OVR): 4 Legendaries + 2 high Epics Stage 3 target (90 OVR): 2-3 Elusives + S-tier Legendaries filling remaining slots

Target characters for each stage on Best Characters:

  • Stage 2: Kaiser, Barou, Bachira, Shidou
  • Stage 3: NEL Isagi, NEL Rin, NEL Nagi

Position priority: Strikers first, then midfield, winger, defender, goalkeeper last — per Best Strikers and Best Goalkeepers.

Pull Rate Estimator

Estimate expected pulls for target rarities based on Rarity Tiers rates:

RarityRateExpected in 50 RerollsExpected in 100 Rerolls
Epic~15%~7-8~15
Legendary~4%~2~4
Elusive~1%~0-1~1

Use this to set realistic expectations. Pulling zero Elusives in 100 rerolls happens ~37% of the time — it is normal variance, not bad luck.

Daily Progress Tracker

Track your daily reroll income to ensure you never miss free sources:

  • Login quest completed
  • Sendou NPC interacted
  • Daily quests finished and rewards claimed
  • New codes checked on Working Codes
  • Rerolls spent strategically per Reroll Strategy

Consistent daily tracking compounds into 100+ extra rerolls over a month compared to sporadic play.

External Tools and Resources

Community members may build external squad calculators and pull simulators. Verify any third-party tool against in-game data after updates like the ELUSIVES Update.

There is no official Trello or developer-provided calculator. Community tools shared on Discord & Community Links are the best external resources.

Avoid tools that require Roblox login credentials or promise to modify reroll outcomes — these are scams or exploit tools covered in our Scripts Overview.

Using Tools Effectively

Tools enhance decision-making but cannot replace game knowledge. Always cross-reference calculator outputs with:

The best tool is consistent daily play combined with smart reroll strategy.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

How do I calculate squad OVR?

Add all player OVRs together and divide by the number of players in your lineup.

How many rerolls do I need to reach 90 OVR?

Approximately 140 total rerolls from starter squad, depending on luck with Legendary and Elusive pulls.

Is there an official squad builder tool?

No. The LockerRoom has not released an official calculator. Use community tools and the formulas on this page.

How do I decide whether to refresh or accept?

Refresh when your pool has multiple good options but no clear best pick. Accept when any character significantly raises your squad OVR.

What is the expected number of Elusive pulls in 100 rerolls?

Roughly 1 on average at the 1% pull rate, though variance means you could get 0 or 2+.

Are third-party squad calculators safe?

Calculators that only use public stat data are safe. Never use tools requiring your Roblox password or promising to modify game outcomes.
