Elusive Tier Hunting Guide

The ELUSIVES Update changed what endgame looks like in Build A Blue Lock Squad. Elusive-tier characters sit at 90–99 OVR with an estimated ~1% pull rate — rare enough that random rerolling without a plan burns weeks of tokens. This guide is your post-update hunting playbook: which NEL variants to chase, how to stack 35+ free rerolls before spending a single Robux, and when to accept a pull versus keep grinding.

Understanding Elusive Tier

Elusive is the highest rarity tier in the current gacha pool. Characters in this bracket typically roll between 90 and 99 OVR, with stat distributions that outperform Legendary and Epic alternatives at the same position. Community data and player reports consistently place the Elusive pull rate around 1% — meaning you might need 80–100 rerolls on average before landing one, though variance is brutal.

Not every Elusive is equal. Some fill roster gaps; others are pure luxury upgrades over S-tier Legendaries you already own. Before burning tokens, check Elusive Characters and the Tier List to confirm your targets are worth the grind.

Priority Targets: NEL Isagi, NEL Rin, NEL Nagi

The three headline Elusives from the update are the NEL variants — evolved forms tied to the Neo Egoist League arc:

NEL Isagi — The premier striker chase for most squads. Highest offensive ceiling among Elusives, ideal meta positioning, and the character most competitive players build entire reroll sessions around. If you only hunt one Elusive, make it NEL Isagi unless your squad already has an elite striker.

NEL Rin — A complete offensive package with flexibility across forward roles. Slightly more common in community pull reports than NEL Isagi, but still Elusive-rare. Prioritize NEL Rin if your squad lacks a top-tier second striker or you want dual-forward pressure.

NEL Nagi — The luxury pick. Incredible raw stats and highlight-reel animations, but less essential than NEL Isagi or NEL Rin for squad OVR efficiency. Hunt NEL Nagi after securing your core striker or if you are a completionist.

All three should be instant accepts on pull. Never reroll away an Elusive hoping for a specific NEL variant — the 1% rate does not reward perfectionism.

Your Free Reroll Arsenal (Verified July 25, 2026)

Before spending Robux, redeem every working code. As of July 25, 2026, these three codes alone grant 25 free rerolls:

1. ELUSIVE — 10 rerolls (plus refresh tokens)
2. OneThousandMembers — 10 rerolls
3. OneThousandCCU — 5 rerolls

Redeem all three from Working Codes on a fresh hunting session. Code values change with updates — always verify before planning your session.

Reroll vs Refresh When Hunting Elusives

Elusive hunting is almost entirely a reroll game, not a refresh game.

Use reroll when:

• Your squad average is 80+ OVR and your weakest player is below 88
• You are specifically chasing Elusive-tier upgrades
• Every token should replace your lowest-OVR squad member and roll the full gacha pool

Use refresh when:

• Your current roll window shows multiple S-tier Legendaries but you want a different position
• You are mid-roll with 2+ strong options and need to compare before accepting
• Never refresh a window that already shows an Elusive — accept immediately

Refresh tokens from the ELUSIVE code are bonus currency. Do not waste them refreshing pools that already contain Legendary or Elusive characters. Save refreshes for S-tier selection dilemmas, not Elusive fishing.

Stack Every Free Reroll Source

Twenty-five code rerolls are your foundation. Stack additional income before your hunting session:

Sendou free rerolls (+10) — Complete Sendou’s onboarding quests for up to 10 bonus rerolls. Details in Free Rerolls. These are one-time but essential for new accounts.

Login rewards — Consecutive daily logins grant reroll tokens on milestone days. Never break your login streak during an Elusive hunt week.

Daily quests — Complete all daily objectives every day. Each quest cycle adds 1–3 rerolls depending on the current reward table. See Daily Quests for the full breakdown.

Combined weekly income: 35–45 rerolls without Robux if you stack codes, Sendou, login rewards, and daily quests across 7 days. That is roughly half the statistical average needed for one Elusive — plan multi-week hunts, not single sessions.

OVR Benchmarks: When to Stop Rerolling

Elusive hunting only makes sense once your squad floor is high enough that rerolls target meaningful slots. Use these benchmarks:

Week 1 target (60+ average OVR) — If your squad average is below 60, you are not ready for Elusive hunting. Reroll aggressively for Rare and Epic upgrades first. Chasing Elusives with a 55 OVR squad wastes tokens on a pool where Commons and Rares still appear frequently.

Mid-game gate (75+ average OVR) — Minimum threshold to start selective Elusive hunting. Your weakest player should be at least Epic-tier before dedicating sessions to NEL variants.

Elusive-ready (85+ average OVR) — Ideal starting point. Every reroll replaces a strong player, meaning any Elusive pull is a clear upgrade. Most of your squad should be A-tier or S-tier Legendaries.

Endgame target (92+ average OVR) — The finish line for competitive squads. At 92+ average with one or more Elusives, reroll only to replace your weakest S-tier or hunt a second Elusive. Follow High OVR Squad Guide for slot-by-slot targets.

When to Accept and When to Keep Rerolling

Always accept:

• Any Elusive character, regardless of which NEL variant
• Any Legendary that raises squad OVR by 3+ points
• S-tier characters that fill a position gap

Keep rerolling:

• Rares and Epics when your squad average is above 80
• Legendaries below A-tier when you already have better at that position
• Any pull that does not improve your weakest squad slot

Stop rerolling entirely when:

• Squad average hits 92+ with at least one Elusive
• You have fewer than 5 rerolls remaining and no codes incoming — save for the next code drop
• Your weakest player is 90+ OVR S-tier — diminishing returns exceed token value

Elusive Hunting Mistakes to Avoid

Hunting Elusives before 75 OVR average — You will burn 30 tokens on Epics while Elusives remain statistically unreachable.

Rerolling away non-target Elusives — Pulled NEL Nagi but wanted NEL Isagi? Keep it. The 1% rate means you may not see another Elusive for 100+ rerolls.

Burning all 25 code rerolls in one sitting — Spread across days to combine with daily quest and login income. A single burst session wastes 7–10 bonus rerolls you could have earned.

Using refresh instead of reroll for Elusive fishing — Refresh only changes your current roll window. It does not pull from the full gacha pool the way reroll does.

Ignoring the tier list — A 95 OVR character with poor stat allocation can underperform an 88 OVR S-tier. Always cross-reference Tier List before accepting high-OVR pulls that are not Elusive.

Putting It All Together

A disciplined Elusive hunt looks like this:

1. Reach 75+ squad average using general Reroll Strategy
2. Redeem ELUSIVE, OneThousandMembers, and OneThousandCCU for 25 rerolls
3. Complete Sendou quests, daily quests, and login rewards for 10–15 more
4. Reroll exclusively — save refreshes for S-tier selection moments
5. Accept every Elusive immediately; accept S-tier Legendaries that raise your floor
6. Stop when you hit 92+ average or exhaust your free token pool
7. Wait for the next code drop and repeat

NEL Isagi, NEL Rin, and NEL Nagi are marathon targets, not sprint rewards. Stack every free reroll, respect the 1% math, and build your squad floor before chasing the ceiling.
